A Research on consumption patterns of youths conducted in Chongwe

CUTS Consumer Unity and Trust Society (CUTS) and Global Network Solutions (GNS) in partnership with Indaba Agriculture Policy Institute (IAPRI) through the Urban Futures Project is conducting a 2 months research (February and March 2025) to investigate the consumption patterns of youths in Chongwe.

Specifically, this assignment sought to understand;
What social -economic factors influence food consumption patterns among youths in Chongwe District
What the current dietary habits (including food preferences, frequency of consumption) are among youths in Chongwe
What the nutritional status of youths in Chongwe is How accessible nutritious foods are for youths in Chongwe
How the project will contribute towards sustainable transformative systems in Chongwe

The Urban Futures Project is a Food systems Transformation initiative being implemented in Chongwe with support from Hivos Regional Office Southern Africa with an aim to promote a climate-resilient, smart, and efficient ecosystem where youths are empowered to be the drivers of change, promoting a green economy and sustainable food security.
